Doctors Alex and Casey Erickson purchased Cambria Veterinary Clinic in January of 2016.
We look forward to continuing the excellent patient care established at Cambria Veterinary Clinic. We are very excited to be living in Cambria and are committed to the practice and the community. We are hard working, honest and believe in practicing high quality medicine. While we obviously love our patients, we also love our clients and pride ourselves on having a personal relationship with them based on trust. Our approach is to be caring, thorough and compassionate while involving you in the care of your furry family members and giving you options when deciding the best care for your pet. We very much looking forward to meeting you and your 4-legged family members.
Dr. Alex is a second generation veterinarian, his father Fred is practicing in his 40th year. Alex is from Los Banos and growing up, the family practice shared a fence with his house so he literally grew up in the veterinary world. He likes to joke that he was cleaning kennels soon after learning to walk. His mother Linda helped manage the practice; it was always a family business. His sister and brother still work in their father’s offices today.
Alex attended Kansas State University for his undergraduate studies and graduated from the UC Davis Veterinary School in 2008. Prior to purchasing CVC he worked in Sonora, at the base of the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
Dr. Casey grew up in Carlsbad where she spent all her free time riding and taking care of horses. She attended UC Davis for undergraduate and veterinary school. She graduated veterinary school in 2009 with Phi Zeta Honors and received the CVMA award for practice excellence. After graduation she completed a rigorous internship at Pioneer Equine Hospital in Oakdale. For the past 5 years she has also practiced in Sonora where she was credited with bringing high quality equine services to previously under-served areas, serving a call radius of 80 miles. While there she treated many species besides horses and while she has enjoyed the equine work, she has been primarily practicing with dogs and cats for the past 3 years and is looking forward to focusing solely on these species. She is the daughter of an OB/GYN and a high school science teacher.
In July of 2014, we welcomed our daughter Nora into this world. She is full of life and provides us with a joy previously unknown. She is an outdoor girl and loves being around our cat, two dogs and two horses. In our free time we enjoy gardening, camping, hiking, cooking and the company of friends.
We are a small family business committed to our community and we hold a special place in our hearts for the pets and people that walk through our doors. We hope to gain your trust and fellowship and become your pet’s lifetime veterinarian!
